The Anchor drops the metal where it can — a composite toe and non-metallic shank keep weight down while a SCUBALINER waterproof lining, EH rating, and welt construction keep the protection up. A removable Double Tuff polyurethane footbed and an EVA-wedge rubber outsole handle the comfort side of long days.
Why does the Carolina Anchor use a non-metallic shank? The non-metallic shank supports the midfoot without steel’s weight, keeping the waterproof composite-toe build lighter.
